Letters, 1882-1930.

These two letters addressed to an unnamed "monsieur" might have been sent to the same person, probably an art critic. Maurice Leloir announces in a short note that someone should come to fetch his finished drawing, asking that it be returned as soon as the negative is taken (1882 Mar. 18). In a much later letter, the artist thanks his correspondent for the flattering presentation of his activity as an illustrator that he has published in Le Gaulois. As he approaches the end of his life, Leloir wishes he could be remembered for fewer drawings of a better quality (ca. 1930?).
